Complaint to the International Fact-Checking Network regarding PolitiFact, June 20, 2019 (Updated x2)

On June 20, 2019 Zebra Fact Check sent a complaint about PolitiFact to the International Fact-Checking Network about PolitiFact’s failure to fix an obvious error in a PolitiFact Oregon fact check concerning Social Security.

Zebra Fact Check used the example as a failure of PolitiFact’s commitment to an open and honest corrections policy. The text of the complaint follows in .pdf form.

Correction Feb. 23, 2020: When we first published this item it ended up as a duplicate of a different problem at PolitiFact Oregon. This post was rewritten to point toward the second of two problems at PolitiFact Oregon.
