A reply, of sorts, from the International Fact-Checking Network, March 20, 2024

Our trip to the Poynter Institute, followed by an email to the person I met at Poynter carrying a forwarded email from Aug. 9, 2023, ended up bearing some fruit.

This page documents our email outreach thanking Alex Mahadevan for greeting us a Poynter, IFCN Director Angie Drobnic Holan’s reply, my reply to Holan and company and Poynter president Neil Brown’s automated reply.

We blacked out the emergency email address from Brown’s autoreply.

Mr. White, as an avid reader of work I am shocked to discover Ms. Holan and her peers have offered you “thoughtful and meaningful answers” and “evidence that contradicts your preconceived viewpoints” and you have failed to share these responses with your readers.

What are you hiding? How many responses have you received from PolitiFact employees over the last decade that you failed to share with the public?

Hi PFB Jeff, thanks for commenting.

Poynter’s president will soon receive an email giving my permission to any and all Poynter employees past and present to make public any communications I have had with them. I’ve asked that if Poynter’s president receives any examples from Director Holan in support of her claims that I would also like to see those examples.

In over a decade of mostly one-sided correspondence with PolitiFact, Poynter and the International Fact-Checking Network, I have received very few substantial responses. I expect Holan will prove far too busy to offer any examples.
